Just three months before I was born, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr delivered his historic “I Have A Dream” speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. The August 1963 message has been highly quoted and clips are often shown to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr Day. But many people have never watched the speech in its entirety. I wanted to share these history-changing words with you — it is worth taking the time to watch on this day that we honor his legacy.

Perhaps a YouTube link would have been more universally accessible.
It is difficult to listen to these words and not imagine that this must at least in part represent God’s dream for his world, for his children as described in the Scriptures, of his kingdom come…on earth as it is in heaven. I give thanks for MLK, but even more – I thank God for his unconditional and everlasting love for ALL people.
